Jim Rich is the principle Rich & Associates a Washington D.C, area firm that specializes in instructional design activities. Jim has spent a career as a subject matter expert in the areas of publishing, imaging technology, course development, teaching, writing, consulting and using computer applications. Since 2007, he has made the career transition into the area of education, designing and delivering instruction and educational publishing. In May 2009 Jim completed his second Masters degree.

Jim's bring years of expertise in converting classroom knowledge into practical end-user applications. That instructional know-how combined with his years of consulting experience allows him to work with end-users at all levels. His knowledge of end-user applications, instructional design, interpersonal skills and his down to earth style allows him to offer a range of educational services that such as training needs assessments, course development, train-the-trainer sessions, coaching, course delivery (face-to-face and distance learning), and working with instructional technology.

Jim most current degree is a Masters of Art degree is in Instructional System Development from the University of Maryland Baltimore. His second degree is a Masters of Science degree is in Printing Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Since 2010, Jim has written and published two books focused on best training practices in the graphic arts. Also between 1990 and 2006 Jim has written and published three Photoshop books and three technology reports about digital imaging.
